Message from the Chairperson:
Welcome to the Chicago Chapter of the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety, or Chicago Chapter IAHSS for short. The IAHSS was founded in 1968 by a visionary group of healthcare administrators and is a not-for-profit professional organization of healthcare security and safety executives around the world. Also included in our membership are vendors offering state-of-the-art products and services that serve to enhance security and safety programs. The Chicago Chapter IAHSS was established in 1969. The Chicago Chapter IAHSS works to improve and professionalize security and safety in healthcare facilities in the Chicagoland area. We promote cooperation among our members and provide a forum to discuss the challenges and complexities of protecting our healthcare facilities. Nine past presidents of the IAHSS have come from the Chicago Chapter IAHSS. The International Associationâs mission statement is âadvancing excellence in healthcare security and safety worldwide.â The Chicago Chapter IAHSS supports the International Association by advancing excellence in healthcare security and safety in the Chicagoland area
